What a truly wonderful and inspiring man. He did no harm and made the world a far better place during his time here; not only for those of us lucky enough to know him, but also for those who didn't. Our deepest condolences to Joanne, family, and all the rest who knew and loved him.

Dear Stride Family,
As I read this morning's Portland Press Herald I was saddened to read of Dick's death. I was flooded with memories of his tennis at the PCC, of his family, of his magic and his charm. May your fond memories bring great smiles to your faces. Sincerely, Catharine Fox(my sister was a nanny for the Strides in the '70's.)
