I knew Dick from our meetings at NARFE (National Active Retired Federal Employees). He was one of the first people who befriended me when joining the group. There isn't a sweeter guy around! Dick always was a thoughtful and engaged member of our chapter. His contributions to our discussions were so interesting. I loved hearing about his childhood in this area, working on farms and adventures on his own land in more recent years. My heart goes out to the Knight family. I know Dick's sister died recently and I know how much family meant to Dick. My deepest condolences to the family. Please know we will miss Dick very much.

Col. Knight was my platoon leader when he was a 2nd Lt. He was a fine officer and a good friend.I enjoyed serving with him and also his friendship. We have lost a fine man and a good soldier. R.I.P. Richmond.

What a great picture! The last time I saw Richmond was at the dentist and he was still sporting the same mustache! It seemed to be his signature feature!
I met Him when I was taking care of his parents John and Lorena. John was always so proud of him and they both always lit up when they saw he had come to visit. I cant remember most of the families from back then but I always remembered him and his family. Richmond was kind and caring like his father and had a good sense of humor with a small bit of the feisty side of his Mother. He truly was a genuine soul. I was very sorry to see he had passed away. The world lost a good man but Heaven gained an even better angel.
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family during this hard time. Xoxoxo
