Crockett, 65
BUXTON/Limington - Steven Lamont Crockett, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Oct. 29, 2015.
He was born in Westbrook, on June 19, 1950, a son of the late Lewis "Skip" and Grace (Emery) Crockett.
Steven proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and later went on to work as a truck driver for companies such as Cianbro and Aceto Construction.
He will always be remembered for his love of family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.
Besides spending time with his family, Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR and camping.
Steven is a past Deputy Chief of the Chicopee Fire Station in Buxton.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Leslie (Lewis) Crockett; children, Tyna Crockett of Limington and Stefanie Crockett of West Baldwin; siblings, Gale Heal, Trudy Cummings, Brenda Ireland, Sharon Betty, Mark Crockett, Michael Crockett, Cheryl Ranks, and Gary Crockett; and his grandchildren.
Per Steven's request, services will be private.
Arrangements are with Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service, Buxton. Online condolence messages can be submitted at the funeral home's website, www.mainefuneral.com

we are so sorry to hear the passing of Steve my most memorable moments of Steve is when I was on the Chicopee Junior Fire Dept. Steve was always there when I had any trouble learning the ropes. and years later whenever I would see him Steve always had a friendly "Hello". our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Crockett family at this most difficult time.
