Robin Jean Girven, 63, of Bear Lake, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. She was born October 1, 1961, in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Ronald Chambers and Carolyn (Butler) McCallum.
Robin married the love of her life, David Ray Girven, on October 23, 1993, in Herring Lake, Michigan. Together they raised a beautiful family.
She was an avid gardener and always made sure her gardens were meticulously beautiful. She belonged to many groups throughout Manistee County where they would spend countless hours freeze-drying goods, canning, baking, and cooking. Above everything, she loved her family and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by: her husband, David Girven; her children, Jesse Girven, Jeremy (Brandy) Girven, Josh (Jennifer) Girven, and Brooke Girven; grandchildren, Jourdan, Jayden, Landon, Julia, Wyatt, Aries, Lily, Jeremiah, Jaxson, and Levi; her mother, Carolyn (Ken) McCallum; brother, Ronald Johnson; sisters, Diana and Cheryl McCallum; siblings-in-law, Ronald (Nena) Girven, Betty (Clarence) Sullivan; Cindy (David) Dabbs, and Bill (Vicki) Girven; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Ronald Chambers; her brother, Joey Chambers; father-in-law, Rush Girven; her mothers-in-law, Evaline (Tracy) and Flo (Tracy) Girven; her paternal grandparents, William and Victoria Chambers; and her maternal grandmother, Venus Victoria Mabley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva. Visitation will take place from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
The Terwilliger Funeral Home, in Kaleva, is in charge of arrangements.
