Don wove his thread into my life in 1977 . We became climbing partners in an era when the climbing community was a small close knit tribe . Climbing friends are among the deepest friendships you form - the act of belaying is one of ultimate trusted as your lives are dependent upon each other...I was fortunate to have Don as a climbing partner as we created so many happy memories on the cliffs and peaks of New England and Colorado. We would soon become family and career men . We saw each other infrequently but our numerous phone calls sustained a lifelong friendship. His laughter and stories transcended geographic separation . His mentorship to youth in the outdoors exemplifies his passion for the mountains and his compassion for humanity. We all had unrealized plans and adventures with Don . The tremendous loss of Don to Cheryl,Colin ,Bonnie, his grandchildren and extended family is shared by many of us .Thanks for sharing !
" Don Bob" - you are on belay and it´s your lead ....

We will miss seeing Donald at the Swap Shed. He was always a favorite "customer." Our thoughts are with his family. He left us far too soon.

May fond memories be of comfort to Cheryl, Colin, Bonnie and to all who loved Donald. Our hearts and thoughts are with you, the Frasers and Farrells and planting trees seems such a meaningful honoring of Donald, who loved and appreciated the world around him. Godspeed!
