Richmond, California
Captain Edward "Fast Eddie" Gallia was born in Maleny, Australia, the eldest son of Edward and Betty Gallia. He was a graduate of De Anza High School, and attended the California Maritime Academy for one year. In 1979, Eddie founded El Dorado Sport Fishing and over the course of more than 40 years, built a solid reputation as an expert party boat captain and superb fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Gallia and his brothers, Robert, Joseph, and Jason. A Committal of Ashes and Celebration of Life will be held on May 7, 2022 in Berkeley. Please contact [email protected] for information. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Marin Mammal Center.

Condolences to Eddie's family and friends. He was a great captain and I always felt safe on his boat, which I never left without a fat salmon or two in tow. Rest in the peaceful waters above and thanks for the memories.
