Dane Fields Obituary
MARION: Dane Eric Fields, 62 of Caledonia passed away on Friday August 11, 2017 at Marion General Hospital, his death was unexpected. Dane was born April 22, 1955 in Marion to the late Roy and Caryl (Maynard) Fields. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sons Dustin and Shane.
Dane is survived by children Chad of Florida; Kevin of Mt. Gilead; and Brittne of Caledonia; grandchildren Ellie, Cooper, Nolan, Benjamin, and Hailee; and siblings Suzanne Mitchell, Marion; David (Dianne) Fields of Martel, Danny (Louanne) Fields of Port Clinton, Dennis (Nancy) Fields of Marion, and Krista (John) Schweinfurth of Waldo
Dane graduated from River Valley High School in 1973 and had worked at the Depot, Steve's Salvage, Archway Cookies, Coke, and Worthington Industries. He enjoyed working on the farm and spending time with his grandchildren and friends at the Legion.
A Celebration of Life Potluck Gathering will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017 at the Caledonia American Legion Post 401 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice or the American Legion. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.cremationservicesofohio.com

Dane was quite a character.He lived to have fun and I never saw him without a smile on his face.Great memories of him, Danny,Cal Thompson,Jeff McElroy and many others when we were all driver-salesmen in the good old days.I won't ever forget Dane.Again my condolences to his family on the anniverary of his passing 3 years ago.May he rest in peace.

To Danny and family;This has to be quite a shock to you and your family! I ,like many others, think back to when we were all beverage distribution driver salesmen and reminisce about the good old days and how much they mean to me and I hope to you as well.It was almost like a fraternity of guys that enjoyed their jobs and the people we all came in contact with during those times.I am really sorry to see Dane has passed.
