Bertha "Bert" Dammann

Marshfield (formerly Vesper) - Bertha "Bert" Dammann, age 89, resident at Three Oaks Living Center, Died Saturday, January 30th, 2021 surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield where a visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time. Chaplain Virgil Voight will officiate, Rosie Schroeder will play piano, and Ken Van Kekerix will sing. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/rembsfuneralhomes. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in the Town of Sherry, Wood County and serving as pallbearers will be Hondo Dammann, Derrick Zenner, Jason Aga, Desirae Trader, Jordy Parker, Wade and Garrett Kieffer and Angela Krueger.

Bert was born October 10, 1931 to Perter J. and Sue Westra in Boyden, IA. She worked various jobs growing up. She married Darrell Dammann of February 14th, 1953 in Boyden, IA. They farmed in Iowa for a few years before moving to Vesper, WI in 1959. She was employed for 33 years at Bethel Convalescent Center/Bethel Living Center before retiring to care for her husband Darrell until his passing in 2002. She was a very caring and compassionate women, she welcomed everyone into her home weather it was for coffee, just to visit or a warm safe place to stay. She always made time for anyone in need. She also enjoyed being outside working in her many flower beds.

She is Loving survived by her five children: Cole (Sheila) Dammann of Vesper, Wanda Trader, Crystal Dammann, Laura (Leroy) Kieffer all of Arpin And Clyde Dammann of Pittsville: 15 grandchildren: Hondo (Ellen) Dammann of Pittsville, Shane (Kim) Dammann of Vesper, Brandon ( Kimberli) Dammann of Milladore, Desirae Trader of Arpin, Heidi (Derrick) Zenner of Arpin, Amber (Jason) Aga of Auburndale, Shalee (Jordy) Parker, Wade and Garrett Kieffer all of Arpin, Frank (Alison) Doleshal , Curt Doleshal of Pittsville, Nicole (Joe) Haebig of Auburndale, Angela (Josh) Krueger of Wausau and Brittni (Derek) Phillippi of Kellner; 30 great grandchildren: Tyler, Camron, Evan and Easton Dammann of Pittsville, Beck and Braxton Dammann of Milladore, Kaydee Jo, Erricka, Makaylee, Damanick and Dakotta Zenner of Arpin, Calen Aga of Auburndale, Paydin, Axel, Rextin, Kelia and Ender Parker of Arpin, Brianna, Avery, Lauren Doleshal of Pittsville, Francine Doleshal of Stratford, Wyatt, Whitley, Paisley and Jaxson Haebig of Auburndale, Paige and Brady Krueger of Wausau, Carder, Colbie and Colyns Phillippi of Kellner; Extend family: Jim O'Keefe of Vesper, Debra Weiler of Rudolph, Kim Dammann of Pittsville, Tim Kuchynka of Hilbert, Karen and Brian (Tex) Barclay of Vesper. Also survived by 2 sisters: Suzanna Van Kekerix of Sheldon IA, Hermina (Daryl) Hillbrands of George IA; 2 brothers: Marlowe (Lulu) Westra of Tacoma WA, Ronald Westra of Tallahassee FL; 2 sisters-in-law's: Alma Westra of Sheldon IA, Nita Dammann of Rock Valley IA. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Perter J and Sue Westra In-laws: Clarence and Carrie Dammann, Husband: Darrell, Son-in-law: Phillip Trader, Granddaughter: Reva Trader, Brothers: Roger Westra and Jacob Westra, Brothers-in-law: Howard Van Kekerix, Merle Dammann and Cletus Gacke, Sister-in-law: Leona Gacke.
