Edward Shefchik Obituary
Edward William Shefchik, 89, was born into Eternal Life Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. Ed was born at home on a dairy farm near Loyal, Wisconsin and was the second oldest of ten children. He attended Loyal High School. He was married to Shirley Domine from 1951-1975 and they had six children together. They moved to Milwaukee to raise a family. Ed worked briefly as a lift truck operator for a canning factory before becoming a career policeman in 1955. After 33 years of service in the Milwaukee Police Department, he retired to pursue his passion for golf, travel, and family. Surviving children include Dennis Shefchik, Kay Dobson, Carol Seibert, and Gary Shefchik. He is predeceased by his two children, Deborah and Dale. CONDOLENCES TO THE SHEFCHIK FAMILY WITH RESPECT TO HIS PASSING. I MET ED DURING MY ABBREVIATED 18 YEAR CAREER AS A POLICE OFFICER, BETWEEN MY TWO CAREERS IN BROADCASTING, WHICH HAD ME LIVING IN LOS ANGELES FOR OVER 50.

I had the pleasure and honor to know Ed for over 25 years. He was my best friend and neighbor in Wilmington, NC. We experienced a lot of special times together. He was always there for me as a friend. Ed is one of the most finest gentlemen I have ever known. He touched my life in so many ways and he will always be in my heart. To his family and friends, we are all blessed to have known such a man.

Sincerest condolences to Eddie´s family. I had the good fortune of being blessed to work with Eddie on squad 104 for about a year. He was a kind, gentle and knowledgeable man who loved his work, and he always willingly shared his knowledge with others. His knowledge was vast and his work ethic was strong. RIP, Eddie
