MAYSVILLE—Christopher David Meadows, 39 years old passed away at Ohio Valley Manor, Ripley, Ohio on May 21, 2022. He had been a patient there since an auto accident in 2007.
Christopher was born in Maysville on June 4, 1982; the son of David and Lisa Meadows of Maysville and Leslie Owens Meadows of New York.
He had previously worked for his grandfather at Jim's Donut Shop where he was becoming an accomplished baker and cake decorator. He had a passion for baking and cooking that was evident in his work.
Christopher also enjoyed fishing and skateboarding in his free time. But his main love and focus was caring for his daughter Alysa Camille. They would spend time fishing and playing games as well as watching cartoons. Having this time together was what they enjoyed most.
Those mourning his death include his daughter Alysa Camille, Nicole Patterson (Alysa's mother) of Henderson, Kentucky; sisters, Miranda (Josh Wellman), Abby (Zach Highfield) and brother, Greg; nephews, Gage Wellman, Gabriel Wellman, Mason Lee Highfield (due in June) and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Maddox (Phil). He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James G. and Mary Margaret Meadows and his maternal grandfather, Kenny Owens, Sr.
A memorial service will be held at the First Christian Church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, with Reverend Jeff Sames and James R. Meadows presiding.
Expressions of sympathy for Christopher may be made to the First Christian Church Organ Fund, 18 East Third Street, Maysville, Ky. 41056 or to the charity of one's choice.

David, words cannot adequately express my sorrow for you at the loss of your eldest son. I remember him best as a happy little toddler when you were living in Aberdeen &, regrettably, I didn't see you all much while he was growing up. Then later, in the last few years, I dropped in to see Christopher a few times while visiting Ohio Valley Manor, but I'm not sure that he recognized me. Also, his daughter was one of my pupils at Mason County Head Start where I remember her as a lovely, bright, little girl, who must have been the apple of her Dad's eye, &, no doubt, of yours as well. My thoughts & prayers are with you & his daughter. I'm sure that now his physical damage is repaired, & he can skateboard, fish, & happily await a great family reunion in the home our Lord has prepared for him. Love, Ben
