Angela McGowan Obituary
Angela Chubby McGowan, 93, of Allentown, passed away Monday, July 8, 2013, in Luther Crest Retirement Community, Allentown. She was the wife of the late John F. McGowan. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Theresa (De Lisio) Jaffoni. She sang and danced on Broadway when she was 12 years old and later attended Hunter College in Manhattan. For 15 years she was a buyer for Hesss and Zollingers department stores in Allentown. She was a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Catharine of Siena. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel. Survivors: Sons, Jeff, husband of MaryAnn McGowan, of The Villages, FL and John McGowan of Whitehall; sister, Madeline Mahoney of Sandy Hook, CT; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ralph and Joseph Jaffoni. Services: 11 a.m., preceded by visitation 9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, July 13, in Robert C. Weir Funeral Home, 18th and Turner Sts., Allentown. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville, PA. Contributions: Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.

Grandma,
I know you are with Grandpa after all of these years being without him. I remember how hurt and alone you were when he passed. Now, I know you 2 are together forever. I wish you could've met your great-grandson, Aiden. He's 2 months old now. I will tell him all about you someday. You will be missed.
