Clark K. Hamm, 88 years, of New Tripoli, passed away August 30, 2012 at home. He was the husband of Ethel L. (Reppert) Hamm for 63 years this past March. Born in New Tripoli, he was a son of the late Frank and Viola (Kistler) Hamm. He was a 1940 graduate of Slatington High School. Since 1963, Clark was a self-employed farmer and excavating contractor in New Tripoli. From 1950-1963 he worked for his father-in-law, Clayton P. Reppert, as an excavator in Edenburg and drove tractor trailer freight for Ralph Weaver, Inc. along the Eastern Seaboard up until 1950. Clark was a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ in New Tripoli and a longtime member of the Ebenezer Cemetery Assoc. He was a member of the Lynnport Fire Co. for 50 years, serving on the Fire Police crew for many years, and was also a 50-year member of the Lehigh County Farm Bureau. Survivors: Wife; sons, Irwin and wife Marjorie of New Tripoli and Alton and wife, The Rev. MaryAnn of Macungie; sisters, Anna Hahn of Schnecksville and Erna Kohler of Kempton; grandchildren, Joshua A. Rabert, Nicholas R. and Nathaniel A. Hamm; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Services: 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 4, at Ebenezer U.C.C., 7293 Decatur St., New Tripoli, with the Rev. Kevin E. Fruchtl officiating.
