Connie Marzen Obituary

Connie Marzen was born March 27, 1926 to Charles and Lillian Beers Wilke. A graduate from E. Mauch Chunk High 1943, she attended Bethlehem Business School. She married Bob Marzen Sr., on May 9, 1946. She helped Bob establish Marzen Hardware store in 1951. She read newspapers vigorously, and had a brilliant memory and sense of humor. She will be forever cherished by her six children: Bob Marzen Jr. (Mary Ann), Eileen Marzen, Kathleen (Bob) Oriel, Joe Marzen, Marianne(Greg)Black, and Leo (Judy) Marzen and 23 grandchildren. Visitation hours at Melber funeral home will be on Sunday October 30 from 4-6. Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Monday October 31, 10:30, viewing, 10-10:30 at the church and burial at St. Joseph's cemetery in Jim Thorpe. Memorial contributions to Mauch Chunk Historical Society, PO Box 273, Jim Thorpe, 18229 graciously accepted.

I met Connie at the votech refinishing class and later as she and Bob would do visitations at GHMH. They always knew I working when they would get off the elevator and smelled the aroma of fresh coffee brewing
A beautiful couple they are with each other again..
