Miss you Grandad,
I will always remember the awesome hunting stories you would tell me. Just like how you shot down a pheasant and you went to retrieve it. But instead of grabbing the dead pheasant, you grabbed a live one that was hiding. So you ringed its neck and then you had two pheasants that you brought home that night.

Hey Grandad, I miss you and how everytime I saw you, you would say how tall I was getting. I wish you would have been able to see how far my brother and I have come in Boyscouts, JROTC, and school. We Love your calmness and your stories. We miss you.

Miss you dad, more than words can express! As our boys are getting taller (Samuel almost as tall as you now!)and are delving into adult-like conversations (politics, faith, education) I miss that they can't have those discussions with you. We often think of things you would say and try to impart those to the boys but of course it's not the same. BUT, I am so grateful that God allowed so many years with you as you helped to shape Tyler and Samuel and your wisdom, love, and unwavering patience will always be remembered and felt. I feel you watching over us(especially our trip recently to ESU for a visit to the college you attended & now Tyler wants to attend)and I believe you are smiling on us from above. Love you Dad!

I miss the beer drinking, story telling, political discussions, and deer hunting. You were a great example of how a man should live. Family first, good times, and laughter. We will laugh together again
