Dear Scarlett,
My sympathy is with you and your family on your mother's passing. While I never met Helen, I heard many stories about your mom and believe she had the same feistiness that you exhibit. I lost my own parents a short while ago and can tell you that there isn't a day that passes that I do not recall something about them with fondness. It will be the same with you once the sorrow has diminished.
Your mother must have been very proud of you and all you have accomplished, and stood for.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Yours sincerely,
Nancy

We have only the one mother, Scarlett. But yours was such a personality that she seems like many--We all have Mom stories but yours are extraordinarily rich. That infectious smile hints at that playful, competent, creative, fun and funny character and we can see from where the remarkable Scarlett came. Her best legacy is the life of Scarlett--the extension of Helen and her impact on the world. May her memory live on in those wonderful memories, stories, accomplishments, inspirations that have touched so many.

Linda and Scarlett, Roger and I send our deepest sympathy to the both of you on your mother's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are also with Harold as I know he is grieving too. We will always remember Helen as a kind and classy lady. We enjoyed the times we were with her and when she was with us at our home on holidays. Helen was a special lady. One of Helen's great loves was nature and I understand her favorite song was "On Eagles Wings". I can picture her in heaven soaring among the angels on "eagles wings".

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Helen. I lived next door to her in Coplay on Catherine Drive. She was there (with Harold) when my first two children were born and always had a kind word. Some years back I was driving through the old neighborhood and Helen and Harold were sitting on their porch. I stopped to talk with them and am so very glad I did. Prayers for Helen's family.
