No fuss Nezzie. As a regular guest in the Poconos and at many meals initiated by Ed and Inez, we saw and experienced how down to earth and welcoming she/they were. She gave the impression that her home was as much ours as hers and she was as happy we were there whether she personally invited us or not. She was gentle, sharp, interesting, unassuming and fun. And despite the abundance of good she did on a small and very large scale she never spent time looking for recognition. Good Bye, Nezzie. We love you. the Seattle Stephens

For 17 years, I was the Air Products employee who lived nearest to the Donleys. Their 27th Street home was large, yet modest compared to homes of some other company senior executives. I was impressed to regularly see Inez Donley scrubbing her front steps. She wasn't too proud to be seen doing honest work despite her obvious wealth.

They say behind every good man, is a good women. Although I never met Inez personally, I met her through her husband -- who we were blessed to have as an inspirational leader at Air Products. He represented the voice of “everyone” at Air Products, in a time when it was not so common. In 1977, it was well known that in the big board room, “Ed” would be the one to ask about and truly care about “the people.” He was and continued to be our “voice.” He knew that remembering all levels and caring about not only the bottom line but about those who made the difference to it, was the secret ingredient to success. And his motivation and ability to relate to every aspect of life is something that I embrace and he will continue to be an inspiration to me and I am sure many others. I hope I am paying if forward for him – and Inez – and I can see from all the wonderful things she did that she was “just fine” driving his Chevy Nova when every other Executive was in a much “fancier” car. So although I know today is about Inez, it's also a tribute to her and the family – and external family community – she loved and supported. What a special person and what a special family.

To the Donley family,
I met this wonderful lady while I worked at Kidspeace. She was a down to earth person and shared a story from her life with me when she visited the building at Kidspeace that was named for her and Mr Donley. I hope that in the weeks, months and years to come your wonderful memories help you through the times you miss her. I know she is up in heaven continuing her good work.
