Joann M. Mulea, 51, of Bethlehem, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010, in St. Lukes Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. She and her husband John Mulea shared more than 22 years of marriage. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Carol R. (Heimbach) Corcoran. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1976. Joann worked as a Certified Insurance Counselor for Myers Benner Corp. in the Customer Service Department since 1985. She enjoyed NASCAR racing and cooking for her family. Survivors: husband; son, Christopher Steirer and his wife, Nicole of Allentown; step-children, John and Theresa Mulea, both of Scranton; sister, Sharon Woodside and her husband, Peter of Hollywood, MD; three grandchildren, Devin, Megan and Grace; sister-in-law, Meryl Corcoran and her son, Ryan of Whitehall; Joann was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Corcoran. Services: Memorial Service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, in the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem, where friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service.
