Lucille Ferenchak

Lucille Ferenchak, 92 of North Catasauqua died Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Sacred Heart Assisted Living in Northampton. Born in Nesquehoning, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Butler and Julia (Kovach) Butler. She was married for 63 years to Edward J. Ferenchak before his passing in December of 2015.

Lucille graduated from St. Anne's High School in Lansford, PA. She received her nursing degree from Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing in Allentown.

Lucille started her career as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital. She went on to work for several physicians in Catasauqua, including Dr. Dewar, Dr. Harvey and Dr. Bowen. She also worked for the Devon house before retiring. She was a lifetime member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and belonged to the Seniors Group. She was an avid walker and loved reading and puzzles. Lucille enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her daughters Mary Kay wife of Eric Koetteritz, Eileen wife of Richard Lang, son Edward and his wife Marge Ferenchak; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother Bernard and sisters Helen and Mary. A calling period will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023, from 09:30-10:30 a.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA. 18032. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 1229 Third Street, N. Catasauqua, 18032. Interment will follow at St. Andrew's Cemetery in N. Catasauqua.
