Lucille Helinsky Obituary
Lucille I. Helinsky, 86, of Allentown, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013, in Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. She was the wife of the late Paul Helinsky, Sr., who passed away January 9, 2000. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Robert Christman and the late Ethel (Johnson) Eck. Prior to retiring in 1976, she was a waitress at Pats Spaghetti House for 20 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A breast cancer survivor, Lucille loved to dance, shop, frequent casinos, and take bus trips. Survivors: Son, Paul, Jr. and wife, Marie A., Saucon Valley; daughters, Katherine Strohl and husband, Wayne R., Allentown, Paulette Sell and husband, Robert, Lawrenceville, Cheryl Benner and companion, Steven L. Wiggins, Macungie; sister, Janet Rassler and husband, William, Allentown; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Siedel. Preceded her in death. Services: 8 p.m. Wednesday in Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., 1335-37 W. Linden St., Call 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday as well as 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday. Interment will follow Thursdays calling period in Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. www.stephensfuneral.com

To Lucille's children: I just found out about your mom & I wanted to leave you a message to say how very sorry I am for your loss. Your mom was a good person & I have such warm memories of her from when we all were kids growing up in town. I know she is with her Paul now & I know my mom is standing there nearby laughing along with her like they did so often when they were young girls... Take comfort in the memories you have of her & your times shared together--she was always so proud of her children. Thinking of you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Lucy in the early 60's at my father's restaurant 'Pat's Spaghetti House'. She was a wonderful person, easy to work with and really a great waitress. We had lots of laughs and some fun times.
