Marvyn L. "Mike" Souders

1937 - 2015

Marvyn L. "Mike" Souders, 78 years, of Orefield, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Darlene J. (Snyder) Souders for 56 years this past July. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles and Mildred (Snell) Souders. He was a Mechanical Engineer for the former Fuller Co. for 42 years. Mike was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Ontelaunee Region A.A.C.A., the Antique Automobile Club of America, the Lehigh Valley Thunderbird Club, the International Classic Thunderbird Club, and the National Street Rod Assoc. Mike was also a member of the Over the Hill Gang, the American Legion, former member of the Ontelaunee Lions Club where he was Past President, former member of the VFW, and was a member of the Milton Hershey Alumni Assoc. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. Mike was a wonderful husband who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors: wife, daughter, Lynnette wife of Karl Klinger of Allentown, brothers; Charles and wife Marlene, Barry and wife Mary Jo, and Robert all of Allentown, sisters; Sandra wife of Doug Moser of Lehighton and Virginia Beck of Allentown; grandchildren, Jason and Adam, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, LaVaun Fisher. Services: 1:30 P.M., Monday, December 28, at Keller Funeral Homes, Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville, with the Rev. Dr. David Charles Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M., today, Sunday, December 27 at the funeral home.
