Mary Jane Kunkel

Mary Jane (Hunsicker) Kunkel, 87, of Germansville, died Thursday, July 26, 2018 in her home. She was the wife of the late Dale E. Kunkel. Born in Heidelberg Township, March 14, 1931, Mary Jane was the daughter of the late Edgar P. and Laura I. (Walter) Hunsicker. She assisted her late husband Dale in the operation of their family farms in Germansville and New Tripoli before retiring. She was a member Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli. Survivors: Son, Ronald D. Kunkel and his wife, Shirley of Germansville; grandsons, Todd R. Kunkel and wife, Veronica of Northampton, Steven D. Kunkel and his wife, Kristen of Germansville; great grandchildren, Nora M. Kunkel, Bryce D. Kunkel; predeceased by siblings, Helen Leibold, Clarence Hunsicker, Mildred German, Lillian Hunsicker. Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. William A. Ellsworth officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 – 11:00 am. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, Slatington.
