Ralph Glenmore Daney Sr., 69, of Nazareth, Pa., died Friday, April 20, 2007 in the Hospice of the VNA of St. Lukes, Lower Saucon Township, Pa. Born September 2, 1937 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Warren E.C. and Emily Mae (Bauder) Daney. He served in the Army during peacetime. He was a plumber working for many years with several different companies and was last employed as a foreman by Strows Plumbing. Ralph was a life member and served in the Hecktown Ambulance and Fire squads and Northampton County Fire and Rescue. He was also a member of various social clubs. Survivors: He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, the former Elizabeth Schaftlein; four sons, Homer, Jeffrey, Ralph Jr. and Robert; two sisters, Phyllis J. Schmoyer and Yvonne A. Stewart; brother, Earl K.; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; many friends. Three brothers, Edward F., William R. and Warren E.C. Daney Jr., died earlier. Services: 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2007 in the George G. Bensing Funeral Home Inc., Route 946, Moorestown-Bath, Pa. Viewing 5-7 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home. Interment will be private. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family, c/o the funeral home.
