Stephanie Raibeck Obituary

Stephanie A. Raibeck, 71, of Allentown, formerly of Palmerton, died February 18, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospice. She was the loving and devoted wife of James, supportive mother of Michael, caring grandmother of Cassie and Nic, and Mummum to Paige, Devon and Leigha.

Born in Palmerton, she was the first of ten children of Stephen and Mary (McFadden) Tyahla.

Stephanie was kind and considerate to everyone. She lived by the golden rule when interacting with friends, family, co-workers, even strangers. She truly cherished her friends, both old and new, from Allentown, Palmerton and points in between. At Artistic Toy Company, she was an inspiration to her colleagues while attaching accessories to the stuffed animals. Yard sales always got her attention, as did anything with a leopard pattern.

Her free time included frequent luncheons with the "Fine Arts Club" or attending an occasional movie. At home she enjoyed reading, watching "Gilmore Girls" episodes, playing Boggle, and listening to the nightly accordion concert performed by her husband.

She was a member of St. Paul R.C. Church, Allentown.

Survivors: Husband, James; son, Michael Naratil of Emmaus; grandchildren, Cassandra and Nicholas Naratil of Emmaus; honorary grandchildren, Paige, Devon and Leigha Montes; siblings, Mary Sarah D'Antonio and husband Al of Paoli, Martin Tyahla and wife Lisa of Palmerton, Peggy Westbrook of Allentown, Lorraine Kuntz and husband Jeff of Winchester, VA, Paul Tyahla and wife Brenda of Palmerton, Stephen Tyahla and wife Margie of Berwyn, Libby Kratzer and companion Alan Starr of Lehighton, Christine Montes and husband Michael of Allentown; dozens of nieces and nephews and a few great-nieces and great-nephews. Stephanie was preceded in death by a brother James.

Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.

Contributions: in lieu of flowers, consider making a donation to your local food bank in her honor.

It is so hard to lose a loved one. I see that Jeff and Lorraine are both now in VA. I lost track when I moved to Whitehall . The Tyahla's are a loving family I will never forgot. I am not just saying this; you will be in my prayers.

Stephanie’s loving, kind and gentle spirit will be missed by so many... including me. The world was made a better place by her generous heart and sense of humor. My sympathies to Jim and family. Gloria
