My memories of Stevie are always positive and rewarding. He was one of the good guys, like Mike Bold, that we lost way too early! I can picture them both from our high school days. When I think of them now, it still makes me smile. All good things.

Stephen was a remarkable man with a loving spirit and a heart of gold. I met Stephen during an author visit at Northeast Ministry. He was genuinely excited to see the children excel in literature and to instill in them the love of reading. He had a fierce passion and love for his work and more importantly for each child that visited and was a part of the Northeast Ministry. I last spoke with Stephen about three weeks ago and he was eagerly awaiting the release of my new book with a follow up author visit to the Ministry, and he couldn't wait to attend the book launch in mid October. He was very encouraging. My deepest and sincerest sympathies go out to Stephen's family. God's peace be with every one of them. I will definitely miss him!
