Thomas B. Payonk

Thomas B. Payonk, 50, of Salisbury Twp., died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was born in Bethlehem, son of the late Bernard B. and Irene K. Payonk. Tom lived with his mother and cared for her as she aged. Tom was a 1985 graduate of Salisbury High School. He worked for Laneco prior to accepting a position with Piramal Critical Care where he worked until he was no longer able. Tom was a member of the Fountain Hill Republican Club, Fountain Hill Democratic Association, V.F.W. and the Fountain Hill Hose Company. He loved Musikfest, playing darts, riding his bike, reading, and watching football; especially the Dallas Cowboys and University of Michigan. Tom will also be remembered for his determination and focus when it came to rehabbing his legs. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, David and wife, Lori of Alburtis; John and wife, Ann of Schwenksville; Susan of Allentown; his nieces and nephews, Jason, Joleen, Adam, Sarah, Ben and Lennon; as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. The family will receive guests again on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 1300 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.
