Willard J. "Willie" Walter

Walter, Willard "Willie" J.Willard J. Walter, 78, of Cetronia, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014 at home. He was the husband of Ann (Ostroski) Walter. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in December. Born in Lavelle, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Frederick E. and Helen E. (Banning) Walter. Willard worked for Mack Trucks for 37 years before retiring in 1991 as a Final Mechanic. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. He loved traveling, camping, spending time outdoors and had a passion for restoring antique automobiles. He was an active member of the South Parkland Youth Association in the 1970's and a volunteer fireman with Cetronia Fire Company in the 1980's and 1990's. Survivors: wife; sons, Ken and his wife Sandy; Gary and his fiancé, Audrey Schoener; daughters, Lisa A. Walter; Amy L. wife of Kevin Godshall; sister, Doris Burns; grandchildren, Ben, Mitch, Emmalee, Tyler, Stephanie, Nathan, Lydia and Jakob. Services: 11:00 am Friday, May 16, 2014 at Trexler Funeral Home 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Burial at Highland Memorial Park.
