I will always remember being anxious to go to Mrs. Ritchie's Jr. English class at Livingston High, because I could always read another one of Eddie's poems on the board. It was always such a delight. When he wrote, I could always feel the emotions, humor, sadness, praise as I read them. Eddie will be missed by many of us!

I had posted something yesterday but it is not showing up. My heart goes out the Huddleston family. I will always remember "Mr Eddie" singing and praising God. He would call my parents to see if they needed any aloe vera and if I answered the phone he would say "well hello cat lady, how are you today? Whenever I was feeling down about myself, Mr Eddie would tell me a funny story or say something in a funny way that would always make me laugh or smile. He was truely a gift to us who had the honor to know him.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Huddleston family. I had the honor and privilege of knowing Mr. Huddleston since 1958 -- our families lived across the street from each other and I attended school with his oldest children. He was such a loving man who cared so very deeply about his family and his faith in God. Mr. Huddleston devoted his life serving God and caring for thousands of people in our community. God Bless Mr. Huddleston and his family at this very difficult time. His proud legacy continues through his 7 children; 15 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren!

My deepest condolences to the Huddleston family. I knew Eddie since I was in high school where he worked as a custodian. He was such a wonderful hard working, friendly, kind, helpful, loving and giving person who treasured his family and friends and his faith in God. I grew to know and love the family of this wonderful human being including Mattie who became my friend later in life. Eddie will be sadly missed by many, but I know that he and the wonderful memories of years gone by will forever remain in our hearts.

God Bless

When I think of Eddie Huddleston, I think of "Papa Hudd" driving the Amway van, stopping by on Friday nights to watch wrestling with his fried rice and Gwen Amey's lemon custard cookies. I think of him singing songs like "Since I Met Jesus", "Wonderful" and "I Don't Know Why Jesus Loves Me"....I remember the many times he'd make my Dad (Daniel Hanson) laugh so hard he cried. Praying for those that will miss him deeply and pray they will live in hope of seeing him on the other side! Thanks for the memories, you'll always have a special place in my heart!
