We lost our precious Nicholas to a sudden illness at home with his family by his side. He was strong, tough and uplifted through his short illness. He was one of a kind. No one could of asked for a better son, father and friend.
Nicholas had a special and strong bond with his family and friends. We all loved him unconditionally. He leaves behind his parents, Henry & Becky Vargas; brothers, Henry Jr. (Michelle) Vargas, Joe (Tamara) Vargas and his 3 children who he adored Isaiah, Anisa and Kamryn, his nephew, Tyler and niece Lauryn. If Nick wasn't with his children he was with his best friends who he loved as brothers, Daniel Mirelez and Derrick Wallace.
Nicholas was employed at Saunders AC & Heating in Turlock a job he loved and took pride in. If you knew Nick then you knew how much he loved going to car shows here in California, Las Vegas and other various places. His pride and joy was his Red 2000 Silverado pick up that he showed in car shows that won him a variety of awards.
He was a member of Severed Ties an organization that he loved and was proud to be apart of. Nicholas had a special bond with them especially Steve Adgate who he would always talk about.
Though Nick was young when he passed we do Thank God for Blessing us with Nick for 33 wonderful years.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home, 901 W. Main Street in Merced. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Merced. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Merced.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Merced.

We will forever remember getting that call that Nick passed. We will never forget spending those moments with his loved ones at the hospital, and him. His laugh will never be forgotten. Nick, you always wore a smile and you had a knack of spreading that smile to whoever was around you. Wish I had another chance to hang with you and hear that laugh! Nick though it had been a while since we had seen each other I loved you dearly and remember our summers together when we would watch your dad watching and taping all the episodes of married with children and eating cheeseburgers from McDonald's. I am glad that I have the memories in which we spent as cousins messing around with Henry and Joe. I know you will be truly missed however will always be with us.
