Andrew Hinman Obituary

Andrew (Andy) Hinman
May 24, 1929 - September 28, 2014
Santa Clara, California
Andy passed away peacefully Sunday morning after a lengthy illness. Born in San Francisco, he served in the Army and then became a mechanical engineer. He lived most of his life in California but also loved the 12 years he lived in Rogers, Arkansas. He was an avid 49er fan from day one of the team's existence.
Andy was a family man who loved his wife Barbara, his brother Dave (and wife Phyllis), his sons Larry (and wife Teresa) and George (and wife Wendy), his daughters Kim (and husband Dennis) and Karen (and husband Michael), and 7 grandchildren (Tony, Brandi, DJ, Kelley, Bobby, Bethany and Anthony) and 2 great-grandgirls (Sadie and Sara).
A celebration-of-life will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Valley, 400 N Winchester Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95050. 408-248-1050. A luncheon will be served immediately following the celebration.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to a worthy charity.
