Charles Eugene "Gene" Uhler

Charles Eugene Uhler Gene was born in Redlands, CA March 25, 1932. He spent his early childhood in Des Moines, Iowa, moving to San Jose in 1945. He attended San Jose High and proudly served in the Coast Guard. Gene was a retired welder. He lived in the same home in San Jose since 1958 and enjoyed many friends in the neighborhood. He also spent over 25 winters at the Fountain of Youth Spa in Niland, CA. Gene was devoted to his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly, mother Mary, children Jeff, Chuck and Linda, grandchildren Charles, Ashley, Lindsey, Sarah, Zachary, Veronica, Mitchel, brother, Richard, sisters Joy and Patricia. Preceded in death by his father Charles and granddaughter Amanda. Memorial Service on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Cornerstone Church, 5655 Gallup Dr., San Jose. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in memory of Gene.
