Darryl Koshiyama Obituary

Darryl James Koshiyama Resident of Milpitas Passed away suddenly on April 7, 2013 surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James. Darryl is survived by his mother Teruko (Terry), sisters Deborah, Sandra (Earle), brother Douglas (Jamie), daughter Carmela and her mother Ruby. He was a fun-loving Uncle to Kalindi, Tika, Brent, Elle, Koehl, Celine, Eve, Erin, and Jorenne. Darryl was born in San Jose and lived in Santa Clara County his entire life. Growing up, he enjoyed sports such as basketball, baseball, and skiing where he developed lifelong friendships. After Darryl graduated from Independence High School, he attended San Jose State University where he studied Accounting. He worked as a bartender at Dave & Busters and was employed there for the past 13 years, where his co-workers became his extended family. He loved spending time with his daughter Carmela, who was his pride and joy. He also enjoyed golfing, biking, and having fun with his vast circle of friends. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at 3:00pm at Wesley United Methodist Church, 566 North Fifth Street, San Jose.
