I only met Jim several times and was impressed with his friendly manner.
I mainly remember his mother, Aunt Nellie, who was my Grandfather's sister from the Powers side.
From reading his obituary he had a wonderful and full life and did alot in helping people.
With regrets I am unable to attend his memorial. I send my sympathy to his wife and family.
Sincerely,
Gail (Powers) Sacco (Daughter of Jack and Laura Powers from Noe Street.S.F.

Diane O'Connor

Prior to living in Paso Robles Jim was very active in the Holy Family Parish of San Jose. He was an eucharistic minister, a greeter and co-founder of a group called Couples in Christ. He and his second wife Diane, recently celebrated 28 wonderful years together during which they traveled in their RV all over the country and flew to Ireland to visit his parents (Ma and Da's) original family home from which Jim's Da emigrated to the United States and made his way to San Francisco.
In Paso Robles, Jim volunteered for 6 years with the Braille Workers at Trinity Lutheran Church assembling Braille Bibles for the blind of the world. His work was greatly appreciated and everyone loved his witty sense of humor. Jim also volunteered for the Paso Robles Community Patrol for four years and later, he was a courier for the Paso Robles Police Department. Forty people attended his 85th birthday during which a Sweet Adeline quartet entertained the group and sang Happy Birthday to him. The Braille workers, the Chief of Police and the Community Patrol joined the quartet in singing to him. Everyone who attended the party said it was the best party they'd been to and were looking forward to any other parties he wanted to host. Jim was loved by everyone who met him and his wonderful sense of humor and volunteerism will be missed. It was generally known that Jim was a "hell of a nice guy". And of course, I agree because I was his second wife Diane. Miss you, Jimbo.

Have wonderful memories of Jim and Mickey and the whole family, Jim, Maureen and Julie as we were all so close growing up. Jim will be missed by all that were graced with his presence and that surely includes the Neubauer family.
