Joseph Strobach Obituary

Joseph T. Strobach Of Doylestown, PA died on Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown PA. He was 86. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Victoria M. Selzda Strobach. He was the son of the late Joseph T. and Freida Welti Strobach, and sister of the late Marie Owens. Joseph was a resident of Doylestown, for the past four years having formerly lived in Montgomeryville PA. Born in Dobbs Ferry NY, Joe was raised in Hastings on the Hudson NY. He was a graduate of Hastings High School and Stewart Technical School of Aeronautics. He held FAA A&P licenses and was a registered professional quality engineer with the state of California. Joe retired in 1980 from Lockheed Missiles and Space Co., after 33 years of service. He distinguished himself in several quality assurance management positions, including Quality Manager at Cape Canaveral and Chief Inspector, Quality Engineering Division Manager, Sunnyvale CA. He was a member and past President of the Kiwanis Club of Saratoga CA. In retirement, Joe consulted for Lockheed and for a division of Rieker Management Systems. His love of gardening, carpentry and cooking always kept him busy but never to busy for family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife he is survived by his children and their spouses, Joseph T. Strobach Jr. of Sunnyvale, CA, Richard P. Strobach, M.D. and his wife, Barbara, of Hammond, LA, Jeanne M. Hubbard and her husband, Dr. John (Ph.D.), of Doylestown, his sister Mildred V. Kling of Fort Myers, FL. three grandchildren, Meghann, Bridgette, and Rebecca Strobach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, March 5, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday, March 6, from 9:30 AM to 10:45AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave., (Route 202 @ Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, and to his Funeral Mass 11:30AM at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church, North Wales PA. Entombment will take place at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Mary, Mother of the Redeemer, Catholic Education Center, 1325 Upper State Rd. North Wales PA 19454. Joseph A. Uncle Joe will always be in our memories and forever in our hearts! I admired his compassion and love for Aunt Honey, they were so adorable together. I'm glad I was fortunate enough to have known him!
