Dear Patience,
I happened to know your name through Lindi. I was a Ph.D. student with
Professor Michel Boudart from 1979 to 1983. I am very thankful to
Lindi for her kind support throughout my student days and many years
after I graduated. I met with Lindi from time to time every time I
visited Stanford until Professor Boudart died. I retired from Tokyo
Woman's Christian University in 2017. I keep myself busy playing
therapy harp in hospitals and nursery schools and also I continue to
do research on my own. I still give advice to my former students about
life in general. I am not sure what it is but I always had special
friendship with Lindi and so I miss her very much. Someday I will join
her in heaven and continue our conversation.
This is in memory of your mother.
Best regards,
Shinichi Ichikawa

I have known Lindi since I was a graduate student at Stanford in early 1980's. We had several contacts since then until about 2009. I always appreciated your kind words. I will always remember the tone of her voice. I'd like to continue our conversation when I arrive there in future. You went a little ahead of me. See you then. Shinichi Ichikawa

I just saw Lindi last October at our 45th Stanford reunion -- we sat at lunch and caught up were together later at a smaller gathering of our Italy group. I'm stunned and will always remember her zest for life and enthusiastic smile. Love to her family, Marcie Steger Cox

So sorry to hear of Lindi's passing. I remember her when she was a student at Drake High and the energy that she brought to every activity she was involved in. God blessed her with an energy level that was infectious.
