To my dear friends,
I just found out that my friend and Brother Mike crossed the rainbow bridge. I had the priviledge to work for his parents and while working for Rollie R. French had Mike as my apprentice. The work was hard but he soaked it up like a spunge and it paid off in spades as he grew to be an accomplished estimator for O'Donnell Plastering. Mike wasn't affraid to expand on new technology and innovation. As the industry changed so did Mike. When it was time to work we did and when it was time to party we did that too. We went to football games, played golf, broke bread and when he and Amy got married my wife Stephanie and I attended the wedding. It didn't take long and our friends started a family and began a wonderful relationship. Amy, You were the key to the whole program and it was you who made my buddy complete in every way. I am the last real Lather sworn in under the original Wood Wire & Metal Lathers of America and I passed on our tradition and dying trade to Mike because his Mom and Dad would expect that from a Brother. We are saddened to hear of his passing. No more pain little brother, no more suffering, Fishing in that special place will never be the same. You are gone but never forgotten and the world is a better place because of you. May your family thrive and prosper as you paved the way for their success. Amy, dear cherish the times we all had with him. He was second to none.
The Stokesberry Family offers it's heartfelt condolences to our friends and their families. Rest my friend, you earned your wings !
