Ramon Castellano Obituary

Ramon Castellano, Jr. died on February 22, 2023. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1927 to Ramon Castellano, Sr. and Refugio Agnilar. He lived in Iowa and moved to California. As a young man he worked as a bus boy, a bartender, as a car body repair person, and owned a neighborhood grocery store. He had a long career in Quality Control in the Electronics, Aeronautics and Missile and Defense Systems businesses. He earned his Bachelor and Master degrees at San Jose State University. He is preceded in death by his wife June, his brothers Alfonso and Moses, sisters Anna and Mary. He is survived by his children Ramon III (Dorothy), John, Mike (Julie), Elna (Mark), and Josephina. He is grandfather to 4 grandchildren Ramon IV, Jaclyn, Veronica, and Andrew and Great grandfather to 8 Great grandchildren Amelia, Owen, Daniel, Carly, Hazel, Albert, Josie and Zeppo. He had been living with Parkinson for over 10 years. Please help him fund research for a cure for Parkinson by donating to the American Parkinson Disease Association in lieu of flowers. Visitation and viewing will be held at Lima Family Santa Clara Mortuary on Wednesday March 22, 2023, from 5-9 pm, Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, and funeral services will be held at St. Clare Parish in Santa Clara on Thursday March 23, 2023, at 11:00 am with reception at the Parish Hall.
