Kami McGann Obituary

Kami Jo McGann
August 08, 1978 - February 19,2021
Kami Jo McGann
08/08/1978- 02/19/2021 (42)
Kami Passed away at home holding her husband's hand with her precious sons present on Friday Feb. 19 after a courageous two year battle with Breast Cancer.
Kami (Kay-me) came into this world as the 1st child to Bill & Karron Pahl (Parma, Id.) and grew up in Ontario, Or. She grew up with 2 brothers Cody(Christi) Austin, Tx and Joe (Megan,Kailee & Addy) Parma, Id. She graduated from High School in Ontario, Or. Kami got her bachelor's degree from Western Oregon University and then a 2nd bachelor's degree in Medical Technology from Idaho State University. This launched her into her career that she truly loved. Kami worked extremely hard and quickly moved up to becoming the Lab Manager/Lead Scientist for Valor Health Hospital. She loved her team and everyone at Valor Health. Kami made it her mission to create a culture of LOVE at Valor Health and that showed itself with everyone pouring their love and care into Kami in her last days.
In 2007 Kami met the love of her life, Scott McGann. Immediately she took up Scott's passion of shooting a bow. She completed her Bowhunters Education on 8/29/07 and on 08/31/07 she harvested her first archery Elk of many. Making many bowhunters jealous of her. 01/04/2008 Kami and Scott became one in marriage. They lived life and exemplified the words Kami had inscribed inside Scott's wedding band "Hunting Partners For LIFE". In the spring of 2008 Kami was re-born when she discovered Jesus and was baptized and dedicated herself as a servant to our mighty GOD. She used her scientist brain to study the Bible and dove deep into creating a personal relationship with her Heavenly father. To know Kami after this part of her life was to truly know Jesus, her smile was a preview into heaven. July of 2010 one of the greatest accomplishments of her life occurred when she became Mommy. Micah was born and the glow and dedication to this new role was amazing to watch. Then in January of 2013 her 2nd son came into the world, Nathan. Kami was an amazing mom to these 2 boys pouring her love and time into making sure all 3 of her boys (Scott included) lived the best life possible. Kami made sure her boys knew her Jesus and was so proud/happy when both boys chose to be baptized into forever. Even in her final months she made a point of ensuring in everyone she met that if her disease got worse and they wanted more of her. Then they better get to know her Jesus because she would be by HIS side for eternity.
At Kami's request there will be no immediate funeral. However, later this spring there will be a celebration of life for Kami Jo McGann at Valor Health Hospital. It will be a small memorial service with an open-house type of potluck dinner celebrating an amazing woman who graced all of us with love. In lieu of flowers at this time Scott, Micah and Nathan asked that if you feel moved to memorialize Kami there is 2 ways.
