Dennis Stanton

Dennis Stanton, 56, a resident of Framingham, died Monday, March 22, 2010 of cancer at the Metrowest Medical Center, Framingham. He was the devoted husband of Marian Gurry Stanton of Framingham. Raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Paul and Florence (Novelline) Stanton. Mr. Stanton worked at the New England Produce Center in Chelsea for many years and was the co-founder of Grant Stanton Produce Company. Besides his wife Marian, he is survived by his loving daughter and son, Casey and Craig Stanton both of Framingham; his siblings, Geraldine Cummings and her husband Timothy of Stoneham, Paul Stanton and his wife Mary Ellen, Marianne Stanton and Janet Bates all of Medford. Dennis was the brother of the late Maureen Ryan. He is the brother-in-law of Garrett Ryan of Woburn, Joanne Gurry, and Martha Gurry-Axtman and her husband Gordon Axtman all of Arlington, and Susan Gurry and her husband Neal Michaels of Cambridge. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday at 9 AM from the Norton Funeral Home, (www.nortonfuneralhome.com) 53 Beech St. (corner of Union Ave.) Framingham followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Zepherins Church, 99 Main St. (Rt 27) in Wayland. Burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Framingham. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 4 - 8 PM.
