Theresa A. Rafferty

Theresa Ann 'Auntie' Rafferty, 86 born and raised in Marlborough, MA passed away on July 8, 2017 with family by her side at Coleman House, Northborough, MA . Theresa was born in Marlborough, MA, daughter of the late Cornelius and Anna (Buckley) Rafferty. She dedicated her life to the Catholic Arch Diocese, Marlborough Hospital and Madonna Hall. Theresa was remembered as the Marlborough Apple Blossom Queen in 1949, a woman who loved to play the organ and spend time with her dog Lucky. Throughout her life, not a day went by where she did not talk to or was with her twin sister, Patricia 'Mae' McManus. They were the closest of sisters and the best of friends. Theresa is survived by her twin, Patricia 'Mae' McManus of Northborough along with her many nieces and nephews: Jackie Kane and his wife Karen of Groton, Ma; Jay Mc Manus and his partner Susan Palardy of Marlborough; Patrick and his wife Tricia McManus of Charlton, Kevin and his wife Karen Mc Manus of Shrewsbury, Ma; Katie and her husband Jack O'Neil of Belle Mead, NJ Claudine wife of the late Gerard McManus Jr. of Hudson. Auntie spent her life loving, caring and praying for others and our prayers are for her now. Funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church on July 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main Street, Marlborough, Ma. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Coleman House, c/o Activities Director, 112 W. Main Street, Northborough, Ma 01532.
