TROY -- Deloris B. (Ingle) Earhart Hicks, age 99, of Troy, OH passed away on August 15, 2021 at Brookdale of Troy. She was born on February 1, 1922 in Covington, OH to the late Ora E. and Ethel (Jackson) Ingle.
Deloris is survived by her daughter: Sandra Haack of Troy; sons and daughter-in-law: Bill (Beth) Earhart of Troy and John R. Earhart of Columbia; stepchild: Richard Hicks of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Kelly) Earhart; Scott (Deany) Earhart; Michael (Stacey) Earhart; Denise (Jack) Fisher; Victoria (Jason) Jones; Robert Earhart and John L. (Gabby) Earhart; step grandchildren: Jenny (Russ) Scherer and John Studebaker; eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by: her first husband: Robert Earhart; second husband: Byron E. Hicks; brothers: Charles B. Ingle; Don E. Ingle; Scott A. Ingle sisters: Clarabelle Hottle; Vianna Brown; Leona Deeter and Eleanor Clingan and stepdaughter: Janet Studebaker.
Deloris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the former Alturian Club of Troy. She enjoyed being a volunteer with Partners in Hope and participating in several card clubs. She formerly served as a bookkeeper with Earhart Petroleum.
Services will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Baird Funeral Home, Troy with interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM – 12:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff of Brookdale and Hospice of Miami County for their loving care to their mother and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Partners in Hope, 180 East Race Street, Troy, OH 45373 or Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
