Patricia J. "Pat" Kauffman

WEST LIBERTY - Patricia J. "Pat" Kauffman went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2013. She was born Sept. 18, 1930, in Logan County to the late Hartley and Josephine (Raines) Grant.
She married Robert "Bob" Kauffman on Jan. 19, 1952, and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1986. Pat worked a number of places - '57-58 at Siemens in Bellefontaine, '59-67 at the Copeland in Sidney, 68-69 at the Women's Reformatory in Marysville and '74-91 at the Colonial Coin Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by three children, Debbie (husband Dean) Brown of Urbana, Lori Rice of Piqua and Rob (Katz) Kauffman of Bellefontaine. She also is survived by two special loving friends Brenda "Beaner" Williams and Becky Bechtel who gave a lot of their time visiting with Pat. Pat was a grandmother to four grandchildren- Casey, Niki, Brett and Ashleigh; and four great-grandchildren, Kayti, Kaden, Emily and Hayley. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Byron, Charles, and Frances and a sister Elizabeth Young. Also preceding her in death are two infant brothers, Thomas and Richard Arlen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, at Jennings Farley Funeral Home, 5591 U.S. Route 68 South, West Liberty. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
