SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Ruth Caroline (Hirt) Davis, age 99, of Scottsdale, AZ and formerly of Troy, OH passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Hospice of the Valley Ekstein Center in Scottsdale.
Ruth was born on August 2, 1918 in Piqua, OH to the late Paul F. and Erma (Tipple) Hirt.
She was married to her husband, James L. Davis whom preceded her in death on August 24, 1980.
Ruth is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Thomas P. and Barbara Davis of Scottsdale; four grandchildren: Jeff Davis, Tracy Roberts, Andy Davis and Angela Williams and ten great grandchildren: Kiley, Tyler, Ashlin, Kara, Karma, Abigail, Geoffrey, Sophia, Cooper and Skyler.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Ruth was preceded in death by son: James E.; daughter: Sharon; and three sisters and one brother.
Ruth formerly worked at the Troy Country Club and was the manager of Lords Dress Shop of Troy. She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary in Troy.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on February 2, 2018 at the Baird Funeral Home, Troy, OH with interment to follow in Miami Memorial Park in Covington, OH. The Fraternal Order of Eagles service will be held prior to the funeral service at 10:45AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley Ekstein Center, 9808 E. 95th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85258.
