PIQUA - Sharon K. Francis, 84, of Piqua, passed away at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Brookdale of Piqua.
She was born February 6, 1940, in Covington to the late Raymond and Ruth (Dress) Clark. She married Joseph E. Francis November 29, 1985, in Sidney; and he preceded her in death May 7, 2022.
Survivors include a stepson, Dan (Amy) Francis of Sidney; and two grandsons, Joshua McCullough, and Bradley McCullough. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Blackford; a daughter, Kelly McCollough; two brothers, Ronald Clark, Terry Clark; and a sister, Kimberly Hoffman.
Mrs. Francis attended Piqua High School. She worked as a relief operator for the Copeland Corporation for 34 years before her retirement. On May 12, 2012, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She remained an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and enjoyed staying involved in the various aspects of the congregation. She loved to attend the congregation meetings and was devoted in her Christian Ministry. She adored her dogs and enjoyed taking walks, especially around Piqua. Additionally, she loved her Speedway cappuccino and rarely missed an opportunity to enjoy her favorite beverage. She also truly enjoyed her time at Brookdale of Piqua; where she cherished the friendships she made and was so well cared for.
A service to honor her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Brother Jason Carter delivering the funeral discourse. For those that cannot attend in person, the service will be live streamed via Zoom, using the meeting ID 2831643091 and the passcode 631789.
