Margaret Bouvrette Obituary
Margaret Bouvrette, age 92, of Bad Axe passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023 at McLaren Bay Region Hospital in Bay City, surrounded by her three children.
She was born on November 21, 1930 in Bad Axe, daughter of the late Michael and Irene (Kalpin) Wolschlager. She married Floyd Bouvrette on November 13, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1994.
Margaret is best known by everyone as "Mrs. Walmart", the friendly, red-headed door greeter that retired after twenty-five years of service on January 6, 2016.
She was a life-long parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe and a member of the Daughters of Isabella.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing Euchre.
Margaret is survived by, one son, Ron (Wendy) Bouvrette of Bad Axe.
Two daughters, Dawn Englehart and special friend, Ken Gwisdalla of Bad Axe, and Tina (James) Terbrack of Deckerville.
Two brothers, Allison (Donna) Wolschlager of Filion, and Tony (Adele) Rottenbucher of Florida.
Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11 am at St. Hubert Parish – Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bad Axe. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 3 – 8 pm at the Kaufman Funeral Home in Bad Axe or Wednesday at the church from 10 am until the service time at 11 am.
A parish scripture service and Daughters of Isabella service will be offered on Tuesday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
