Dear Carol,
Our hearts go out to you in our deep sorrow over you son's untimely death. The old chestnut about life being unfair seems to have proven itself in your life without remission. I wish I could have attended the memorial service, but didn't see the paper until a week later, after our return from Thanksgiving in VT.
Though I didn't know Brian, it's clear that you and Bob undoubtedly raised a fine boy, and one who had been successful in his shortened life. If and when you're able to venture out again, I'd love to take you to lunch. If going out is too strenuous, I'd like to bring in a lunch to have together. Maybe we can round up a couple of the "WWHS girl's group", too.
Look for my email or try me at [email protected] or 860-649-4322 when you feel up to it.
With love,sympathy, and heartache,
Ellie and Ed Kepler

I had the privilege of having taught Brian at Xavier High School in Middletown. It has been an honor that Brian kept in touch with me over these 34 years. My prayers and condolences, Brenda, for you and your children.
