While I only met Rose once she was so sweet. I caught her using her walker to cut some fresh flowers. I introduced myself as her new neighbor. My sincere condolences to her family. She sounded like a great person and inspiration.

The class of 1947 always kept in touch, even in their later years. Met at the Cromwell Diner for lunch once a month. I had the honor of planning the 60th reunion held at the Cypress on South Main St in 2007. May precious memories be of comfort to Rosie's loved ones.

Your mom was an amazing lady. My deepest condolences to the family.
Aunt Rose fiercely cared for her family & community. She told great stories of her life in Middletown, caring for her younger sisters, meeting Uncle Tom, and how he didn´t impress her at first and had to be persistent in his attentions and their funny, loving last conversation.
I once asked her for the recipe for the wonderful side dish that she brought to the Fourth of July cookout. I was both astounded & secretly pleased that the sauce came from a jar, as it was simple enough for me to replicate & make for Rose´s grandchildren.

Amy, Sue, Pam and families, We are thinking of you in your time of sadness. Your mother will be truly missed by all who have the pleasure to know her. Both of your parents were such wonderful people who gave so much to others. The world is a better place because they were here.
