Walter Griffin Obituary
Wally was the oldest son of Walter and Dorothy (Zaniboni) Griffin. He graduated from Don Bosco High School in Boston. Wally was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving the in the Navy Seabees. He was an electrician for Local 103, IBEW and remained a member for over 50 years. Wally was on the executive board for the American Legion in Massachusetts and Florida. Forever an avid fan of Boston sports, but not the weather!
Wally was pre-deceased by his wife of 20 years, Catherine "Cathy" Griffin. He leaves behind his two children, Jeanne and husband Damon Vaughn of Duxbury and Walter III "Chip" and wife Brenda of North Attleboro, and their mother Patricia Selland. He loved being a grandfather to Griffin, Noah and Natalie Vaughn and Jenna, Haley and Hannah Griffin.
Wally leaves his brothers Warren Griffin and Michael Griffin, his sister Judy Rumble, aunt Connie Davis and many cousins. He also was a stepfather to Sandra Hilliard, Eric Jacoby and Michael Jacoby.
All are welcome to attend his burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at 11:30 am on April 24. This will be followed by Chinese food and meatballs (Wally's favorite meals) at the American Legion in Duxbury MA.
