John Robinson Obituary

John W Robinson was born May 26, 1940 in Seattle, Washington. John served in the Marines where he was stationed at NAS, Seattle and was honorably discharged in 1966. Throughout his life he plied his skills in the transportation industries of Air, Rail and Trucking. John met the love of his life and was married on July 17, 1999 to Anita. They held a special bond together that brought them closer with their faith and family. John passed away on March 31, 2024 at home where he wanted to be with family. In John's last year fighting health issues, his determined attitude and strength were an inspiration to all. John was predeceased by his parents and sibling. John is survived by the strength of his life, wife Anita, three daughters: Marie (Don), Tracy (Bob), and Wendy (Brian), grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many longtime friends.

John's family appreciated his love and devotion, how he was meticulously organized and valued a well kempt appearance. His ability to remember people and events was vital to him and a gift he used well. John always looked forward to his coffee outings with good friends and had great appreciation for a tasty meal. John will be tremendously missed.

I have great memories of our holiday meals at Skalkaho Lodge and Ekstroms. We enjoyed those Plays together at the Stevensville playhouse. John was a kind and caring friend to us in Norm´s final years. I loved his no nonsense approach to what was going on around around or with us at any given time. We always knew where he stood. Bless you Anita. Praying for your comfort, my friend. Linda Reeder

As a felolow employee and working with John on the Garrison Local I remember the great times and converstaions we shared together. At that time I don't believe John new Anita. Not sure... My wife and myself became aquainted with Anita as she was our dentist secretary (Dr. Barbian) for many years. We found her to be very kind and understanding. Knowing this we are sure John did as well. It was good to see how their relationship grew as John at times could be challangeing. He was direct in his comments supported by his moral convictions. There was no dancing around the "Mallberry Bush" with him. I you were to get on the bad side of him he did not hesitate to let you know. Fortunately for me I did not! I respected him and it was great to have known him. We had many great conversations and after he retired I would see him out and about. I could see that Anita had changed him and he was very proud of those changes. I am sure that his in final years he ws at peace! God bless John and his family, he will be missed, but not forgotten! Thank you John for your understanding and great memories. I will look forward to seeing you again! Dave

I was saddened to hear about my old friend John's passing. We were teammates at Paxson Grade School starting in the 6th grade and then at Sentinel High School and University of Montana (then called Montana State University). John excelled at each of these levels, was highly competitive and demonstrated leadership no matter what he chose to do. He also was a Marine Corps veteran serving his country....Praying that his family and friends find peace and comfort during this difficult time....RIP John Robinson ....COL Blaine "Butch" Hendricks, USA, Ret.
