Patricia Cannon Obituary

Patricia Ruth Cannon

Patricia Ruth Cannon (Pat) was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, to Cy and Matilda Calhoun on September 9, 1939.

Following high school, Pat attended nursing school at Carroll College where she met and later married her husband, William Cannon (Bill). Pat and Bill married on July 8, 1961 and the two went on to have three children, John, Tim and David. David died in 1984 at the age of nine. David spent a good portion of his life at St. Patrick Hospital.

Following David's death, Pat dedicated herself to working the switchboard at St. Patrick Hospital. Pat found great joy working at St. Pat's and retired after 20 years of service.

It is indescribable how loving, giving and caring Pat was as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. We share deep anguish with those who knew Pat.

Besides her sons, John and Tim, Pat is survived by her grandsons, Cyrus and Trevor; her granddaughter, Kaelee; her sister, Carol; niece, Kirstie; nephews, Charles, Sam and John.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, we honor you. We all miss you! We will miss your laugh and giggle, sometimes followed by a snort.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, at St. Anthony Perish located at 217 Tremont Street, Missoula. Following the funeral mass, there will be a luncheon in an adjoining building.

Pat will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery located at 641 Turner Street, Missoula.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Anthony Perish.

I'm so sorry for your loss, I knew Pat, Bill, and David from my work at St Pats. I was someone who helped in David's care and then became friends with Pat and Bill. My condolences, they all are missed and made the world a better place for all of us.

I am sorry to learn of Pat's crossing. She was a good neighbor and the perfect hostess for our bus trips to Seattle Seahawk games.
