Abram Askil passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at the age of 93 in Turlock, CA.
Abram was born on May 3, 1923 in Russia where he was also raised.
Abram was united in marriage to Jany Askil on December 4, 1965 in Nyack, NY. Following their marriage, Abram and Jany resided in Nyack until 1978 when they moved to Turlock, CA where Abram has resided since.
Among his special interests, Abram enjoyed gardening, history and politics. He was a member of Mar Addai Parish, Assyrian Church of the East
Abram is preceded in passing by his wife, Jany Askil.
He is survived by his sons, Abe Askil, Jr. and Arthur Askil; daughters in law, Sharli Babakhani and Raquel Askil; his grandchildren, Taylor Askil, Aidan Askil, Christina Askil and Nicolette Askil.

A visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, 4-7pm at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock, CA. A funeral service will be conducted at the same location on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 10am. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. A luncheon will be held at Larsa Hall 2107 E. Monte Vista Ave., Denair, CA at 12:00p.m.
